- Passport : The original Passport (or Travel document) of applicant. Passport must have 6 months of remaining validity on the date of travel. Passport must have 2 visa pages clear of any markings.
- Travel itinerary : Reservations for the itinerary of your travel (not a ticket)
- Proof of Funds : Proof of enough money for your stay and to leave China

Description
ROC passports are not recognized for entry and transit. However, all ROC nationals with Household Registration are also able to apply for a Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents either before arrival or on arrival, allowing the holder to enter and stay in Mainland China until its expiry. All ROC nationals can also apply for a Chinese Travel Document before arrival which allows them to remain for up to 2 years. Issuance of the Taiwan Compatriot Permit or Chinese Travel Document is not automatic for all ROC nationals and is at the sole discretion of the PRC government. See #Greater China for more details.:
